Pinnacle Peak Hire aims to provide a flexible and practical hire experience. This policy outlines how cancellations, changes, and refunds are managed to ensure fairness while recognising that equipment is reserved exclusively for each booking.

Booking commitment

When a booking is confirmed, the selected equipment is allocated to you for the agreed hire period. This prevents other customers from accessing that equipment.

For this reason, cancellation timeframes and conditions apply.

Cancellation timeframes

More than 48 hours before hire

  • Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled without penalty
  • Any payments made will be refunded in full

Within 48 hours of hire

  • Cancellations may incur a fee to reflect lost availability
  • Rescheduling may be offered where availability permits

Day prior or day of hire

  • Cancellations at this stage significantly impact availability
  • A cancellation fee may apply, up to the full hire amount
  • Rescheduling may be offered at the discretion of Pinnacle Peak Hire

Non-payment and release of booking

Payment must be completed prior to collection or delivery.

If payment is not received:

  • The booking may be cancelled
  • Equipment may be released to other customers
  • Future bookings may require upfront payment

No-shows

Failure to attend or collect equipment at the agreed time without notice will be treated as a cancellation on the day of hire.

Applicable charges may apply.

Weather flexibility

Pinnacle Peak Hire recognises that weather can impact outdoor work.

Where weather conditions prevent safe or practical use of equipment:

  • Bookings may be rescheduled without penalty, subject to availability
  • Hire periods may be adjusted where possible

This is applied reasonably and is intended to support genuine circumstances.

Refunds

Where refunds apply:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
  • Processing will occur within a reasonable timeframe

Non-refundable costs may include:

  • Delivery or collection services already completed
  • Third-party fees or charges

Changes to bookings

Requests to change booking dates, duration, or equipment:

  • Can be made at any time
  • Are subject to availability
  • May result in adjusted pricing

Pinnacle Peak Hire will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes.

Early returns

If equipment is returned earlier than the booked period:

  • No refund will be provided for unused time
  • This reflects that the equipment was reserved for your booking

Delivery and cancellation

Where delivery has been scheduled:

  • Cancellation fees may apply if transport has been arranged or commenced
  • Delivery charges already incurred are non-refundable

Business discretion

Pinnacle Peak Hire reserves the right to:

  • Apply reasonable flexibility based on circumstances
  • Assess each situation individually
  • Ensure outcomes remain fair and commercially sustainable
