Booking & Payment
Do I need to pay at the time of booking?
No. Bookings can be made without upfront payment. A payment link will be issued via email prior to your hire, and payment must be completed before collection or delivery.
How do I make payment?
Payment is completed securely via the link provided in your confirmation or reminder email.
What happens if I do not complete payment?
If payment is not received prior to the scheduled hire time, the booking may be cancelled and the equipment released to other customers.
Is a bond required?
A security bond may be required depending on the equipment hired. This will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Equipment & Usage
Do I need experience to operate the equipment?
Basic familiarity is recommended. However, the equipment is selected for ease of use, and basic guidance can be provided at handover.
What equipment is included in the hire?
Each machine is supplied with the relevant attachments selected at the time of booking, including buckets, tilt hitch, or auger equipment where applicable.
Can I use the equipment for any job?
Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and in accordance with safe operating practices. Misuse may result in damage and additional costs.
Pickup, Delivery & Towing
Can I collect the equipment myself?
Yes. Equipment can be collected from Peak Crossing.
You must have:
- A suitable towing vehicle
- A valid driver’s licence
- A compatible smartphone for trailer brake control
Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Delivery and pickup can be arranged for an additional fee based on distance.
How is delivery charged?
Delivery and pickup are charged separately, based on distance from Peak Crossing. If both are required, both services must be selected.
What do I need to tow the trailer?
You will require:
- A vehicle rated to tow the trailer and equipment
- A compatible tow hitch
- A smartphone with Bluetooth capability
How do the trailer brakes work?
All trailers are fitted with the Elecbrakes wireless braking system.
You must:
- Download the Elecbrakes app
- Connect via Bluetooth
- Configure and test braking before departure

During Your Hire
What happens if the equipment breaks down?
If an issue occurs, contact Pinnacle Peak Hire immediately. Do not continue to operate damaged equipment.
What if it rains or I cannot use the equipment?
Where weather prevents safe or practical use, flexibility may be provided, including rescheduling, subject to availability.
Can I extend my hire period?
Extensions may be available depending on demand. Please contact Penelope as soon as possible to arrange this.
Return & Condition
What condition should the equipment be returned in?
Equipment must be returned:
- Clean
- Refuelled (where applicable)
- In the same condition as supplied
What happens if equipment is returned late?
Late returns may incur additional hire charges. Please contact in advance if delays are expected.
Can I return the equipment early?
Yes. However, no refund is provided for unused time, as the equipment was reserved for your booking period.
Damage, Insurance & Responsibility
Am I responsible for damage?
Yes. The hirer is responsible for the equipment for the duration of the hire period, including any damage, loss, or theft.
Is the equipment insured?
Pinnacle Peak Hire maintains insurance; however, the hirer remains liable for damage, excess amounts, and uninsured costs.
What happens if the equipment is stolen?
The hirer is responsible for the full replacement value where equipment is lost or stolen during the hire period.
